Rediscover A Life Full of Arts & Culture

Rediscover a Vibrant Artistic Community

The scenic settings of Gravenhurst and Muskoka have long been the inspiration to many artists who enjoy all of nature's wonder.  The arts are so important to the region that Muskoka was recently given the title of a Designated Arts Community.

The Town of Gravenhurst boasts many beautiful galleries featuring paintings, photographs, stained glass, woodworking and much more.  You can find unique pieces from local artisans at the popular Dockside Festival of the Arts or at the Gravenhurst Farmers' Market. Try something new or show off your skills at a workshop hosted by Arts at the Albion, Muskoka's artistic collective.

What's life without music?

You may have many wonderful memories of listening to songs at Music on the Barge concerts, or watching a show with your parents at the historic Gravenhurst Opera House. These are great traditions that you can still enjoy with your family and there are many other new opportunities to immerse yourself in. Try an intimate concert at Peter's Players, an 88-seat venue inside of music promoter, Peter Swanek's house. Relax and enjoy a beer while listening to a live band at Sawdust City Brewing Company or The Oar & Paddle.
